Timeline

1987/1988

The Satellite Spies move to Australia, (without Mark Loveys - whom departed the band). In their first year of residence in Sydney, The Spies live in the same block of flats as the excellent Australian band The Euro-gliders. Gigs for the next few years include performances with Johnny Diesel and the Injectors and The Emmanuelle Brothers.

1990

The Spies fly over to Birmingham, England, and go on a seven-month tour of the UK.

1991

The band returns to New Zealand, where they perform live shows continuously for the next eight years. Notable performances include the 1997 Marlborough Food & Wine Festival and the Whangamata Music Festival on New Year’s Eve 1999, where The Spies welcome in the new millennium with countless fans.
